im talking to @chassecroise about how it must be “common knowledge” that adrien fucking loves cheese
as far as his dad and everyone in the household knows, adrien is in the mood to eat cheese every hour of the day. at school lunch he always grabs a bit of cheese every single day. he carries cheese around his god damn pocket. or sometimes has to inexplicably leave in the middle of whatever hes doing to grab some cheese.
im just saying that to outsiders it must look like adrien has insatiable camembert cravings all damn day
this misunderstanding solidifies more and more over time as adrien has to pretend all of plagg’s cheese is for himself. all his friends and family and teachers and acquaintances legit believe that cheese is adrien’s favorite thing in the world.
it’s part of his identity now. marinette loves fashion, alya loves ladybug, nino loves film, adrien loves cheese.
if adrien “forgets” to put cheese on his lunch someone will “HELPFULLY” remind him.
he didnt forget but they have already dumped the cheese on his food because adrien has NEVER had a meal without cheese.
nino consistently gives him a a fancy set of different and weird kinds of cheeses to try on his birthday every year, because thats exactly what adrien likes.
adrien smiles and tells nino he cant wait to try them.. and the next day will have to lie and tell nino they were all delicious because holy shit that stuff is expensive.
he doesnt even like cheese but he cant let anyone know. especially NOT AT THIS POINT??? WHEN HES BEEN NODDING ALONG FOR AGES???
hes been pretending for so long that it would be too weird and awkward to tell everyone he doesnt like it, especially since bc of plagg he still has to order it all the time anyway
adrien is devastated because the more he accepts cheese from people the more this lie spirals out of control and now complete strangers are walking up to him and using cheese as an icebreaking topic of conversation bc they heard hes fucking infatuated with the stuff
his friends are tagging him in pictures of cheesy dishes
his dad replaces all the portraits around the house with still life paintings of cheese boards
cheese companies wont stop asking adrien to sign on to be the face of their brand, gabriel accepts all of them bc he thinks adrien likes it
